Just got my M16A1 ready to try out.
Aiming at 1971 vintage using the Mckay  C MP B engraved barrel. CH forged upper, and C Bell FSB.
At the start of this project, I was just fine with the A2 lower.
But now, after hanging out with you knowledgeable guys for three months, I'm not.

You will most likely find yourself getting a proper Nodak Spud NDS-16A1 lower for it. Just an FYI, McKay Enterprises is supposed to be coming out with their retooled A1 lowers sometime soon.

That's a nice one right out of the chute but like Jr. said as the infection takes over you'll be wanting an A1 lower.

Still a fine looking pea shooter though!

Thanks
It would be nice to have a manufactured lower that is anodized.
But, I will more than likely go with a NDS 80% lower, so that I can get authentic engraving, and add a faux auto sear pin (stub pins drilled slightly off location).
