Hi Guys,
This is my first retro build so when you look at it please don't be too harsh if there is something that looks wrong. As you can see, I don't post much but I do spend time on this site most evenings to learn. I've built modern AR's and figured it's time to try. I really like these older AR's and figure you can give me the knowledge to do another one of these. I believe the Upper is a Colt 604. I purchased the chrome carrier sans FA notches from Fulton Armory and the lower from Nodak Spud as the XM16E1. If you have any advice on this one please let me know. Thanks in advance. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u307/mausershutzen/AR%20Family/Barrel.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u307/mausershutzen/AR%20Family/Right.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u307/mausershutzen/AR%20Family/Markings.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u307/mausershutzen/AR%20Family/FH.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u307/mausershutzen/AR%20Family/Left.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u307/mausershutzen/AR%20Family/Chrome1.jpg |

Outstanding job for first retro!
The only (minor) snag is the black mag button, but keep your eyes open for a grey one and that's a quick fix! What lower parts kit did you use? Did you naval jelly black stuff or find old parts? Nice rifle. Gotta love the simple things in life! |

Its a beauty! 604 was my first build! Love it and it shoots great too!
And dont worry, I am sure you can stop at 1 build! No need for a 601, C7, XM177E2, 653 or any other model. (Yes, those were my next 4 follow my first 604... all since last Nov - I am now broke Perhaps you should run away... |
