Hey, anybody have these handguards or any experience with them?

What are they made of? Are the solid when attached? How do these compare to the YHM aluminium handguards that are about the same price?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I've used both the Carbine and rifle length M44s.  They are not bad, they are a heavy duty plastic (much thicker than standard handguards).  They should only be used for mounting a light - if you want to use a VFG for close in (50y and under) that would work too.   To tell the truth on Carbines I think the M33s are a better rail and use of a VFG with them doesn't throw off the point of impact like it does with the M44s.

For the same $$ the YHMs are much better (although heavier) units.

If you can get the Fobus's at 50% off retail that isn't too bad.

I agree with Forest but if you are interested I have a set (carbine) in excellent condition for $70.00.
