Looking to build my first upper.  I've built lowers before but I always bought the uppers assembled.

I'm going to be using the LAR A2 Blem receiver along with either the Wilson-Nordic Stainless 16" barrel or the DPMS MK12 18" Stainless barrel or go the opposite direction and use the Daniel Defense lightweight profile 16" barrel.

Not looking for input on which barrel to use, but since I'm using the A2 receiver I'd like to put a regular fixed FSB on whichever one I pick.  I'm not sure how to go about attaching the FSB since I'm assuming that these barrels will not have the taper pin cuts in them.  Is this something I can do myself without much difficulty, or should I just buy a barrel with the FSB already installed?

Thanks in advance, I tried searching but everything that came up was in reference to taking out the pins, not adding pins.

Eh... if you buy a jig... and have a drill press... and a vise... and are handy... you could drill them yourself.

Another option is to send it to ADCO for drilling.

Personally... just use a clamp on... or do the DIY Set screw FSB mod.  Dimple the barrel, properly torque the set screws and locktite... itll never move.
