I originally bought my first, a Windham MPC, and added a few things. I decided to build my next one and a little lighter. Any opinions welcome as I am new to ARs but try to read and make informed decisions.
The parts list and what I have or on order... -Advanced Rifle 80% lower. Machining and tolerances are very good. **EDIT** Found out he front takedown pin is machined .010 off location (too low) and wont allow the upper to close. Advanced Rifles has not answered either of my emails in the last 10 days. Terrible customer service! -Daniel Defense lower parts kit -I'm making titanium takedown pins and port door pin -Battlelink Minimalist stock -V7 Weapon Sys alum end plate and castle nut -Rainer stripped upper -Spikes BCG -BCM 14.5 middy LW barrel -Rock River dust cover -Rock River forward assist. May make some of that out of titanium. -Spikes gas tube -Spikes charge handle -Spikes gas block...to be machined much lighter. -Midwest Industries 10.5 SSK Key Mod rail Still have to order -JP Silent Captured Spring buffer, buffer tube, and Troy Battlesights. -Have not decided in a VDI Manimal or Battle Comp 1.5. Probably leaning toward the comp over a flash hider. |

Well, just waiting on a Sprinco spring and Geissele trigger. I emailed JP about the captured spring and they never got back to me, so I got the BCM buffer and Springco. I also decided on a BCE Battlecomp 1.5. I still have to Cerakote the lower.
I ended up adding a V7 Ti gas block (21g) and the V7 forward assist (11g). 14.5 BCM LW. V7 Ti block, M.I. SSK10, Battlecomp 1.5  </a>" />
