Hi guys, a while ago I decided that I wanted to build an ar (since I already have a couple 22s an ak, couple shotguns, and bolt guns) to complete the collection. So I have done much research on the ar and all of its components and have come to a conclusion on the parts I think would be good. I just wanted you guys oppion on the parts. Oh and this will mainly be a plinking gun, for up to 300 yards. Thanks in advance!

I have a Spikes buffer assembly that functions well. One note, the finish on the tube was a bit lighter than everything else on the gun. Either the finish is off (I doubt) or it may have a dry lube on it that tends to lighten the finish up a bit. Ive heard of other companies applying this lube and ultimately those parts turn out lighter in color than one would expect. I don't know for sure if that's the deal but I thought I'd give you a heads up. I bet somebody out there can set me strait on this if I'm wrong.

Also, you might check out the Raptor charging handle available at Rainier for $90. I have used this product on both of my builds and LOVE them. Especially if you are a lefty (which I am).

Hope it helps.
