I may catch some flak from some of the questions I ask and I understand because they are probably noobish questions and I moderate Jeep related forums so I understand.

Anyways...
Im looking at building a 5.56 AR15 and I believe I have found a pretty solid priced "beginner" kit.

Ive got my eye on this kit from Palmetto State that is complete minus the stripped lower which I plan on buying locally (to avoid the FFL transfer fee)

The kit im looking at is http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/barreled-upper-assemblies/16-mid-chrome-lined-premium-ss12g2-blem-rifle-kit-ready-for-duty.html

One thing I do plan on doing to satisfy my OCD for the cosmetic appearance is having the free floating guard, the lower, and upper coated in burnt bronze...
My questions come in here...

Ive looked at so many different rifles and have a general idea of how i want the thing to look when its done. I know I want a free floating guard but I also dont want it to look like a big brown blob when its finished.
Many rifles ive seen that have the look im going for have some form of black accents on them on the guard that set the bronze off a bit...is there a technical term for them or is that just part of the particular guard...something like this is what im referring to:

Or even more black/bronze offset on the guard as seen here:

Is this a look I could achieve with the PSA upper kit I linked?

I know there are other upper assemblies that are more thought of around here...but the PSA kit is in my budget and looks to me like a very solid deal.

Your input appreciated:

The first picture looks to be black LaRue Index Clips, and the second picture looks to be black Magpul Ladder Rail Protectors.

For the Midwest Industries free float rail you are wanting to go with, the G2 SS-Series Panels, part # MI-G2SS-PAN, in black for the 3 and 6 o'clock positions would do the trick.

That is not a quad rail in that kit.  If you want the look that is on those SBRs, you will need a quad, and the Larue index clips are on the first pic, and ladders are on the 2nd.

If you are truly OCD about the appearance, make sure you realize the difference.  To add; NOTHING looks as cool as an SBR, so that 16" kit you are looking at will be different from those 2 pictures you posted of SBRs.  Here is a shot of one of my 14.5s in that color, to give you some perspective with a longer barrel.
