Hello yall,

This is my first time buying any AR-15 parts. I got a lower hopefully coming soon to my FFL (I live in california... ) and i was trying to figure out what all that i need. The lower is stripped, and i know of certain things...
Lower parts kit (trigger group, grip, trigger guard)
buttstock
upper (hopefully a pre-assembled one)
bolt carrier group
charging handle
barrel
gas block
hand guards
barrel nut
action blocks (both lower and upper i assume for installing the barrel?)

i was trudging through the forums and found the assembly guides and it says that there is the upper assembly guide but it is NOT there! im trying to figure out all that i need but it is difficult. if you see that i missed something, or could clarify for each section, as i think the pre-assembled uppers come in different stages (some with just the forward assist and dust cover, some have the charging handle, etc)

Thanks.

Being in commy cali you have to also have at minimum one of these but I recommend both:

Bullet Button and the Freelock

This will turn your standard magazine release into a fixed magazine catch and you can ONLY install a 10 round mag maximum.  The Bullet Button alone will require you to insert something small enough like the tip of a bullet to release the magazine which satisfies current commy cali laws about fixed 10 round mags and a tool release.  The Freelock takes it a step farther with a Bullet Button insert that requires a specialized tool you can carry in your Magpul MOE grip to either secure your 10 round mag in state cali or remove it slightly to where a mag can be ejected when you take your black rifle to cool states like Nevada.

Cheers
