I am somewhat new to the AR-15 world.  I bought a S&W Sport about 2 years ago, it's a super reliable gun.  But I want to build a new upper receiver to learn how they go together, and so I can have an upper for more extended ranges.
Here are the parts that I have on my list right now:
Aero Enhanced upper
Aero Enhanced KeyMod rail
20 inch Faxon barrel
Magpul folding sights
PSA "Premium" bolt carrier group ( I ordered it today for $88 shipped)

I can't decide on what to get for my muzzle device, a flash suppressor or a muzzle brake, but I am leaning towards a YHM 5c2 flash suppressor.
How do think I have done picking the parts?

Faxon is great quality and reasonably priced.  But I wonder if you're really gaining much between 18" and 20" vs. the extra weight.

Why flip ups on a LR upper?

M4-72 or Miculek for the md.

I was thinking that the 18 inch wouldn't offer that much of a benefit over my 16 inch barrel that I have already, but then again I am relatively new to the AR-15 world. As for flip up sighs, It will take me a little while to get the money I need for a good scope and scope rings.  I am going to school right now, so I am putting it together as money allows. I am open for suggestions/ advice that you guys have.
