I ordered a 1000 rounds of Wolf .223 55 grain HP to shoot out of a DPMS Panther Bull 20. Wolf has always functioned flawlessly in this gun until this batch. The ammo would not chamber, usually getting stuck where i would have to use a cleaning rod to help eject it. After some investigation I determined the shells were too long. I took 50 rounds apart, trimmed the necks and re-seated the bullets. I marked these rounds because I also took 50 rounds and just seated the bulletts deeper, to match my handloads. Needless to say all that had to be done is to seat the bulletts just a bit deeper, the ammo was too long to function in my rifle. If anyone is curious I do not know what powder they use but they only use 20 grains of it. This ammo functions flawlessly now.

Cant say Ive had that problem, but I just dont like shooting HP's because they catch on the ramps and dont feed.

I have not had a problem with the HP's catching, this lot was 2 hundreths over the max overall length specs for .223. Of course with ammo once you buy it you can not return it to most places. After spending the money I had to figure out why the ammo kept jamming in the gun. When you buy .223 ammo you expect it to meet specs, I dont expect it to be too long, loaded too hot ect. I am glad I had an easy fix because this is fun to just shoot without breaking the bank too bad.

Sheesh! What a PIA! The ammo should be within spec...I'll bet if you contacted the seller they'd take it back or exchange it for spec ammo.

I believe that if you contact wolf they will hook you up...seen a couple episodes where they send whole boxes of ammo when someone found a messed up round...

At one time Wolf had a published " replace if defective " policy.
I do not know if that is still current or what hoops a customer might need to jump through. Can't hurt to check thier website or call.

I'll skip my bad feelings on the brand and just share the good.  They seem eager to please, contact them for an exchange.
