So I'm screwing the flash hider ( A2 type)  on and I'm unable to get the bottom ( the area with no openings ) to line up at 6 oclock ,what's going on ,do I need a new washer ?

You should be using a new crush washer. The are designed to crush (flatten) to allow proper indexing.
Watch your index point....you can't back up if you overrun it.
The wide (concave) side goes toward the muzzle device and the narrow (convex) side goes toward the receiver.

Hold the barrel in barrel vice blocks when doing muzzle device work.
