Looking to replace my pinned a2 flash hider, was thinking about a battlecomp 1.5 but its a steep price tag. What are thoughts on ones from troy spikes, or others? Would like to stay away from brakes as I don't want the extra noise not sure if the spikes is considered a brake or not.

Do you want compensation or actual flash suppression?

Get a Vortex if you want flash suppression and a BattleComp or similar if you want compensation.

The BC is still louder to bystanders than a flash hider.

whats your bbl lenth––that will help.

If you can simply replace it and dont want to buy the battlecomp, you can buy the griffen armament break which is very close in BC performance for a little over a 100 bucks.

I have tried both the Spike's Dyna Comp and the mini comp.  I like them both.  They control muzzle rise and, to me, not much louder than a A2.  You get a noticeable "puff" from the front when firing the cheaper russian Monarch.

The Dyna Comp had more control, but the mini comp is what I am running now.  Tried both on 16" barrels with the Dyna comp on a carbine gas and the mini on a mid-length.

I have a 14.5inch barrel so I will need something to bring it out to the 16 needed.

As for which type im looking honestly don't know I don't want it to sound like my 50bmg going off though. As I understand it the bc is the best of both worlds

What about the fsc556? Don't know if it long enough though

With a Brownells discount the BC 1.5 is $121.
It is specifically designed to make your 14.5" bbl legal length.

The PWS is a little bit louder(High pitch) I think then the BCE. I don't know why some people say there not loud. Try shooting without ear plugs, you will instantly put the gun down. It's really "high pitched" and hurts like hell. If your standing behind someone shooting it, it's not that loud, but when your the shooter, or right next to them, ya............ It's not fun.

Get an A1 flash hider, and by $150 worth of bullets with the change.

It's gonna be hard to do when he has to pay $200 for a stamp.

Keep what you have, save the money for ammo.

It's a brake but had similar flash hiding capabilities like the BC.

Big +1.  Your money would be much better spent on extra mags and ammo than on a noise enhancer.
