[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Flash suppressor ID - Factory Armalite???

I'd like to ID the suppressor shown below. It came on an Armalite M-15A4 SPR like this:

Thing is, the suppressor in the catalog picture isn't what's on the end of my barrel. The catalog looks more like a Phantom or USGI.

What do I have here? Thanks.

Your pics are showing the famous Armalite "BLAST ENHANCER". Don't let anybody sit to the side of you at the range... you'll blow them off the bench!!

That's a "post ban" Armalite muzzle brake. They suck. My son's mid length has one on it, but the gun is so accurate I can't bring myself to change it and risk ruining the accuracy. So we put up with the blast.
