Thanks Stick! Waitin on the other colors to get here in the mail. I know I'm spending a lot of time on this for a very non-durable finish but honestly who knows if this will turn out good or not so I don't mind. Besides...got nothin better to do!

Thanks guys It's KG gunkote FDE. Since I have access to a Laser engraver I thought why not put the original marking back on it. I haven't started on the VIS yet. My boss wants to engrave " The E-lib-inator" on it. He's got many other ideas buuuuuttt some are too much. |

Thanks, Not quite 14.5". Its WOA SS 13.7" with a F2comp permanently attached. Whats not so good is the mid-length gas system i put on it. I know a lot more about AR's now then when i ordered it. It seems to run fine but i think that it will be a little picky when it comes to ammo. |
THat one is really nice. I'm curious what you used to finish the barrel? The rest of the rifle? |

For my ribbed stock shown earlier, I used Norrells over the black plastic. |

They are KAC (from Operation Parts) and started as a lighter and pinker tan. I repainted them to match the rest. I have seen a better looking KAC tan rail panel ( closer to FDE) on some other members rifles, but haven't been able to get my hands on them. ETA: I just looked at the Operation Parts web site, and it looks like they might have the darker colored ones-Coyote Brown-but are currently out of stock |

Testor's Model Master 30118 "Field Drab" As you may know, 30118 is the federal color code for Flat Dark Earth, but it has gotten lost in the translation somewhere as Testor's 30118, that they reproduce of the federal color chips, is much darker. It disappears just fine either way and I've added a camo pattern over it now anyway. Stephen |

Nice. After GP moved from TX to VA and was absorbed by LWRC, and then LWRC had the HFG fiasco, I was hoping LWRC would change their name to GP and those nice looking lowers would become plentiful. |
