I'm guessing when an optic says fog proof that only means in the glass, not on the glass correct?

Quoted:
Yes, only anti fog on the inside. The optic is sealed with gas(es) to prevent fogging on the inside. Some Companies put a coating on the outside which will eventually wear off. The glass should always be cleaned with water and the fancy rag that ships with it. I received a used m21 today. It is in the 20s outside and near 70 inside. The glass fogged some but only on the glass and dispersed relatively quickly I figured that was the case, just curious |

Once you start seeing the condensation on the inside, then you have a compromised optic. |
