I am interested in the A.R.M.S.® #41™-B-L Silhouette™ Folding Front Sight but wanted to know if it is the standard height base or the F-marked height base?  I am currently using an F-marked FSB and not sure if this will even matter with regard to lining up the sights.  I e-mailed A.R.M.S., Inc but haven't had a response for over two weeks.  Any advice here appreciated.

Don't bother the ones I looked at were between 40 and 50 thousandths out of spec!

Well my understanding is that the F-marked FSB is about 40 thousandths taller than a standard FSB.  Could this be what you were observing?

FWIW, I have a similar folding front sight from YHM.  The quality is outstanding, it matches my Magpul MBUIS rear sight perfectly and it clamps solidly to the gas port section of the barrel.  - CW

I just built an upper for a friend with the YHM folding sight (with a rail on the bottom, not the bayo lug) and it's a nice piece.
The rail-bottomed one is heavy, though.
