Is there a guide on here on how to change the follower on a standard AR mag 30 rounder? I searched in here and didnt see anything but my search fu isnt strong.

See page 41 of this TM9-1005-319-10 Operators Manual and disassemble per the instructions, when taken apart remove the spring from the follower and replace with a new follower, then assemble.

Just watch the spring once you get the floor plate loose.  You don't want to lose an eye!  Wear safety glasses, and keep your thumb over the bottom once you start sliding the floor plate off.
