No inherent difference. Initially, the "green" followers were made as such to distinguish them as non-tilting from the ordinary grey followers. Then Magpul came out with its enhanced followers with colors other than grey and green. .... they now have the bright orange ones (with a newer design) to distinguish them from their original enhanced followers. Black (oldest) Green (anti-tilt, replaces black follower) Orange Magpul Gray Magpul I'm not sure what the difference is between the last two, other than color. |
There is no functional difference between the orange and gray Magpul followers. There are red and blue followers for 6.8 SPC and 6.5 G mags. TS |
Thanks, I didn't know that (or about the coyote brown followers). What is the difference between the Magpul Gen I and II? |
I have some orange ones that are not Magpul, but are identical to the green anti-tilt that replaced the black ones. Only reason I got them was for visibility and distinction from other people's mags. |

Magpul Gen II have a new color which is Dark Earth, DSG Arms are selling them. DSG Arms D&H Magazine with Dark Earth Magpul Gen II Followers website link |
These Flat Dark Earth followers were a special mil order and were only sold as followers installed in their Flat Dark Earth mags. We do not sell these outside of this contract There is also now a Dark Gray Gen 2 which is made of a different material which shrinks less and is used for the C-Products Stainless Steel mags. Also there were a few Gen 2 Glow in the Dark (Blue and Green) versions. There is also a 6.8 Gen 2 but that is marked as such on the top of the follower. |
Are there any glow in the dark followers availible for the C-Products stainless steel mags? |
