….. or is it Aimpoint vs. EOTECH?  That’s a personal decision that I alone must make, and have!
As a noobie to the forum, I’ve read the threads ranging from ammo to magazines to optics ……. Availability vs. backorder……. Mfg vs. Mfg . . . .  .223 vs. 5.56  . . .  1:7 vs. 1:9  . . .  Pros & Cons . . . . Do I “zero” in my AR @ 25 yards, 50 or 100?  (NOTE: I still remember the 1000 inch line @ Edson range from 35 years back - some things you just don’t forget.)
The list is endless, as well as the ones exercising their rights of FOS under the 1st A.
This forum provides a wealth of information, reviews and opinions, all of which has been helpful in my purchasing decision(s) over the years.
•S&W  M&P15OR 16” 1:9
•EOTech 516 & 3X.FXD
•Magpul MIAD & a full complement of 20 – 30 round Pmags.
•Cproducts/Brownells/NHMTG – 30’s
•Daniel Defense offset PAK mount w/Surefire LED
•Troy BUIS & MRF 7” rail forearm
•Prvi Partisan/Federal/Winchester/PMC/Hornady
•Pelican case(s) – the thread on cutting the foam was extremely helpful.
•Beretta M9
I am now looking forward to my 1st build, and I’m sure I’ll rely heavily on the knowledge and experience of the members here.

You may want to check in the optics forum but my choice is an Aimpoint.

The battery life on the Eotechs are horrible and There have been many reports of them just falling off of rifles in use.

Love my Eotech, Batteries are not a problem, I use it atleast once a week and leave it on when Im done, If I have to replace my batteries I steal them out of the remote control. Also, mine has never fallen off my rifle and has seen probably around 10000 rounds.

Would be a shame if Trijicon = Dodge.

I prefer the HUD style of the eotech.  The switch and battery life of the aimpoint is nice though.

Was the thread titled this way so it didn't look like the other 143 Aimpoint/Eotech threads?

Ford. And aimpoint. Never really cared for the sight picture of the eotechs. Lots of people like them, I'm just not one of them.

I like both but would hold off on a current production EOTech until they sort out their problems.
