I'm doing a 20" DMR build and need some input on the float rail.  The Yankee Hill rails seem to be well built and a good value.  LaRue and Omega have greaat rep but are they worth the money?  Last, I really like the lines of the Troy MRF Battlerail but I'm concerned that using the original barrel nut won't give the rigidity I want for max accuracy.   Yep, ther'ell be a bipod on the end of the rail. So, let's hear it from the guys who have 'em.  Please no my buddy's co-worker stories, I want first hand input.
Thanks

LaRue and Daniel Defense are where you need to look. Worth every penny.

I just got a 7" YHM Diamond rail for a SBR upper I'm building. I am now thinking about returning it. I forgot how bulky/wide/thick they are. They are cheap but I am/was wanting something more low profile. I'm kicking myself because I have a 9" sitting in a box of extra parts. I wished I would have pulled it out before ordering the 7". Now i'll loose $20 returning it. YHM is not junk but if you have the money get better.

For the Troy rails....I have 2 MRF 10" and 1 TRX extreme. The MRF are rock solid when mounted properly. They are  just as good as the DD in my opinion but the down side is the Troy MRF weighs a little more then the DD rails. I have not mounted the TRX yet but it feels great and looks great when matching parts. Troy also just dropped their prices if you go to their webpage.

Never played with a Larue but I have never heard a negative thing about them. I just don't like how they look but others love them.

Another rail you may want to check out is PRI. I have one on my SPRish clone and I love it.
