I'm build a suppressor for my 300 blackout. I have a 16" Wilson 1-8 twist bull barrel, I'm using a YHM flash suppressor with the QD mount phantom hider. The suppressor baffles are M style baffles. So here's the big spill I need to machine an end cap but want to be a 100% on the thread size on the YHM flash hider, I'm coming up with a 1-8x24 acme thread. Anyone have a that's right or a lending thought on the problem and maybe a picture of there end cap so I can get a picture in my head. I know some of them are welded on but I want mine serviceable. I also have read that the YHM prongs on the flash hider work as scrapers is that going to hinder anything with me using a baffle setup or is it fine.

Any help would be awesome as this is my first can build

Just buy one so you can get the dimensions you need.  They're about $60.

I have one and found that it should be 1-8x24 I'm asking if anyone else can verify that since I've never done acme threads before

Get an acme thread gauge.  That is how I would do it.

First, just call YHM up. They'll probably just tell you.

Second, this is probably not the best forum for the question. Most people here are keyboard gunsmiths or just assemble ARs.

I'd try HERE or go over to Silencertalk's Silencersmithing Forum.

Good luck. I'd like to do my own Form 1 can some day.
