I am trying to decide on a forearm for my new build and I love the looks of the Fortis versus the Sampson Evolution. Have any of you that run the Fortis gotten your thumb or finger burnt on the gas block yet?

I was going to go with a Fortis until I found SLR Rifleworks Solo series of handguards...

I haven't had my hands on one yet and have been torn between it and the new Sampson with the keymods. The only thing holding me back was how big the cut outs are on it.
