I have never shot with a forward angle grip before so I have no idea if I would even like it or not.  But I really like the look of the new Fortis Forward Angle grip.  Before spending the $70 or so on it can anyone give me any input on forward angle grips?  I am building a high end SBR with a 7.5" barrel and a 7" hand guard and have no idea if this sort of grip would benefit me.

For a 7.5" barreled upper, I like the MAGPUL AFG (Angled Forend Grip)

This is what I have on my SBR uppers. Really comfortable angle for the off hand.
My son prefers the stubbies, I like the AFG from Magpul.

I find em to be more comfortable on the support wrist than a standard "handguard grip" for extended periods of time, but prefer vfg's over all of the above

Well here is someone else's .02$:
I have used plain hand guards, verticals, and the AFG's. I prefer the AGF's. Firm grip on fore end and angles hand to reach pads for lights/laser et.
Touch pad can be placed in the 11 o'clock position (slight hollow between rails) to be out of the way to prevent light ND.

Keeps the hand closer to the barrel axis than VFG and for my "feel" preference.

I like them well enough, and it would be better than just holding the rail on a Sig Braced AR pistol. Go with the AFG though--no reason to drop $70 on one.

It works well.  Here's a review I did a while back if you'd like more info....

AFGs are a happy medium between the ball sack grip and a vertical grip.

I like my magpul afg. It's all personal preference, I was skeptical because I usually only use vertical grips or just the rail. I was pleased with it after shooting it. Good luck

I like this one, smaller and I believe lighter than Magpul's.

For picatinny rails:

There is also a keymod version:

ETA: There is a good video there that reviews numerous models of these kinds of things.

I have a couple of the Magpul AFGs and the Mako version on a Vepr 12.  I like the AFGs a lot, but I really love the Mako.  It looks a little funny but has a very natural feel to it.
