Whats everyone running for forward angle grips.
The new Fortis angle grip is sexy!...not sure how well it functions though. And strike industries has that curved model. Looking for a new grip in the front...prefer angled. What do you run? |

Looking for a new grip in the front...prefer angled. What do you run? I never quite understood their purpose. I'm old school though. I've been shooting rifles for 40 years, all the hand stops, angled grips, etc. don't interest me in the least. Same with red dots, holo sights. Give me irons or a good old fashioned scope. |

To answer your question, I use a magpul AFG2.
AFGs are simply better than vertical grips. They keep a slimmer profile and don't snag on things, allow you to wrap the thumb over the bore to control recoil, and allow you to support the rifle in more of a "handshake" type position around the bore rather than holding it like a beer bottle offset. Some people will rant and rave that about all the "tacticool" shit and how all you really need are iron sights and a 308. To some extent, they're right that the market is saturated with tacticool stuff that you don't need, but the AFG is not one of them. It will improve your shooting form and raise your ability if you train diligently with it; just like any new technique it will take getting used to. "new" =/= "superfluous" I assure you, an AFG is a good investment. |
| I have the keymod version of the Fortis short angled grip on a BCM KMR. I started with a naked rail, but needed something to relax my wrist angle and couldn't be happier with the above combo. The overall shape of this grip integrates with a slim rail so well that it feels like one piece. |

I really like the Odin Works Hand Stop. Available in both KeyMod and MLok and weighs just 1.2 oz. http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag331/Linc5870/Odin%20Works%20MLOK%20Handstop_zpsuigc7zyu.jpg This is what I'm running atm. I also liked the low profile of the Naroh a lot, but I'll try that later.
