Figured this forum would appreciate this... Lost it about 9 yrs ago, and had given up. Figured I'd lost it during my last move back then. Well, it took another move to find it haha

Bought it new 35ish yrs ago. Used for deer hunting for a few yrs back then. Then used it with a .22 conversion kit. since the POI was diff then 5.56. Yrs ago I lost the great working oem lock nut spinner thingie. Any ideas? Anyway, here it is just as I found it tonight, dirty with old camo tape/tape residue all over it.

Nice find, what upper receiver is that on your carbine?

Sight it in for .223 and use the 4 or 5 setting for your .22lr conversion.

Here is my current calculations

Also see my other thread for what I consider the best replacement locking nut.

Its just a 1974 SP1 (also has a FA Colt BCG bought new 35yrs ago), with a Tony's mil spec CAR stock and Colt 6720 replacement pencil barrel.

And thanks for the info Tech-COM, I'll absolutely check that out.

Heres the same rifle and scope back around 1981ish while at deer camp..next to my dads trusty 1965 Ford F100 PU. I need to use the old 20" A1 parts for another build..right?

Might need to buy one of these to get the proper nut.
