I ordered an endplate from Stone fire Arms (fantastic people, product, and service by the way, Thanks Paul) to give me the option of single or double point sling attachment with my MagPul sling. Came in yesterday, so started tinkering today. The existing end plate on my 6920 came staked to the lock ring on the magPul stock. Any good suggestions on "unstaking" it PLEASE

No need to "unstake" it if you use a quality stock wrench like this one:

This will allow you to twist right through the staking.  Please don't overlook a good receiver action block to safely react all that torque as well.  Expensive hobby, ain't it?

I got impatient, and just used the dremel and a cutoff wheel to cut down into the existing endplate without touching the lockring, and got it off. Put the new one on, and torqued it up and it looks factory, and works great for a single point hook-up..
