I have done my due diligence and could find no answer.

I am replacing a non free float guard with a free float guard.

My question is if I replace the A2 front sight/gas block with a low profile gas block and install a new front sight on the free float will the front sight loose zero as the free float heats up?  I'm not driving tacks with this rifle, just curious if there wound be a significant change.

I have a front side sling mount that came with the weapon and I won't be using it (I don't use it now).  It's mounted between the two pins that locate the sight and the barrel is marked in this area.  I would like to hide this with the guard.

I am running an Aim Point M4 red dot and would also like to clean up the sight picture.

Thanks for the input

My carbine with a daniel defense m4 free floater does not loose zero after it heats up.  And I haven't ever heard of it being an issue.

Not an issue.  Just make sure your FF tube is correctly installed and torqued.

Thank you all for he input.

I think a LaRue 9" with their gas block and a Troy front sight will be the end result.  I have a Troy Di-optic rear sight and I like it very much.  Just need to match it with the appropriate front site.
