Hello, I have a Bushmaster Predator with a 20" free floated barrel. I was wondering if I could put on a YHM lightweight free float hand guard or something similar without too much hassle? Will changing the hand guard effect accuracy at all as it is a tack driver as is :) I want to try and turn into into a MK12 clone or as close as I can. |

if i remember correctly, the bushy predator's cheapo chopped FSB (gas block) is shaved just enough to allow the FF tube to slide over w/out having to remove the gas block... if so, it should not be too bad; simply, vice your upper (in the correct armory's blocks), use strap wrench/etc to remove the old tube, and then install the YHM tube (which should also slip over the FSB/GB) if you do have to remove the GB/cut FSB, then it will be a little tougher... this might give you ideas:www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=226782 |
