I would like to remove my Free Float Tube on the front of my DPMS LR-308, how tuff is it toget off? and what can I use. The reason I ask is I am wanting to paint it (Camo) and would like to do it off the rifle

I'm going to change mine, already have the new one. After looking at it I'm going to take it to DPMS and have them change it, they are about a hour away. I've already talked to them and was told to call ahead and bring it over.

I am not that close, I may try a strap wrench. I was told they use loctite to hold it on
