I have been reading posts till I have a head ache I didn't want to ask but here goes. Can you install a free float forearm without removing a lo-pro gas block, or a 1-rail gas block (like the stag H3)?

Yes, depending on the rail. Some fit behind the gas block, some cover the gas block.

So if it fits behind then it needs to be removed or is that mainly for the standard FSB? If I'm going to have a FF then I will just buy an upper with a lo-pro or single rail, for my needs. Thanks for the reply

if your handguard requires a new barrul nut your gas block will have to come off.
I've installed the free float tube and several YHM pieces....gas block had to come off of all of them and be reinstalled on the barrel after the barrel nut was installed.
