This has probably been been beaten to death somewhere before but...

When shooting offhand I do sling up pretty tight.... Shot a lot of small bore 3 position matches through high school & college. Shot at a lot of pinheads for X-count so I know my technique is solid. I'm considering putting a 2 piece FF tube/rail system on my A3 HBAR upper. I have noticed some vertical stringing when I sling up and still use a bench for some support vs. only using the bags. I'm assuming the stringing is due to pressure at the front sling swivel. Anyone else experience this? Also anyone use the MI 2 piece FF system on a rifle upper?

You are correct that the sling is putting pressure on the barrel.  FF will fix that.

What is stringing?

The tendency for impact points to be nearly in a straight line.  Usually vertically.  Common causes are barrel heat, pressure on the barrel or poor trigger control.
