I have a couple of barrels without the A2 style front sight post.  I would like to install one.

Does anyone make a fixture to align the front sight post for drilling to pin it on the barrel?

That's basically what I found out when I investigated this same thing so time ago ...  the hardest part is going to be holding the sight securely and aligned to the gas port while being drilled.

I still think it could be done by a DIY guy ... but it would require some serious home work and maybe even manufacturing your own tools/fixtures to hold the site.

Like goldeyeslayer said ... send them to ADCO and don't look back.

I do not know of any jigs that would align the A2 sight post with the receiver and barrel for you to drill the pins with.
It is definitely not as easy as say, pinning a flash hider at home.

Cool jig ... very inventive design and looks rock solid.

This.  Bravo Company and Rainier both sell his jigs.  He's also a member here.
