I currently own a Bushmaster Optics Ready Carbine and would like to replace the existing gas block (which is a standard A2 front sight with the sight removed) with either a RRA Flip Up Front Sight/Gas Block or a GG&G bolt on Front Sight/Gas Block.  If this were a pistol, I would have no issues but I'm new to the AR world and have recently come down with BRD.  Does any one see any issues/problems?  I'm not ready to tackle this myself so I will be letting a qualified gunsmith perform the transplant if it is possible.

The only tricky part is lining up the gas port in the barrel with the gas port in the new sight. Sometime the original FSB pins can be tricky to remove too. Its not that difficult a DIY job if you are handy with tool. Check out the tutorials in this forum.
