If you are using carry handle there a two different heights, Milspec for F marked front sights and Commercial for non F marked front sights.

Absolutely what I did was I rasied the post 5 clicks up from it being bottomed out and I adjusted the rear with 6 clicks of elevation and its right on.I adjusted the 8/3 disc so that its like when you adjust for the IBZ I lossened the screw raised 5 clicks so now its 8/3 at 5 clicks.I was just concerend because ive never seen a barrel shoot that low at 50 yds I was aiming at the upper left 5" red circle and hitting the lower one dead center..about an 8 inch difference.I dont mind leaving the rear as is.As long as its hitting to point of aim with a center hold im happy

Glad you are happy

You have built several AR`s havent ya?

My 2 Bushmasters shot low from factory. I would say over 5inches at 25M
A1 16hbar  Kurt cut to 14.7 in 2001
A1 20hbar

I bought a LMT 14.5 upper from Paul at BCM
Also bought the ARMS 40

went to zero @ 50Y and it was dead on.  A First for me.
Also the 551F   IFFYTECH was almost  dead  on  @ 50  It was off to the L a couple inches

The Defender 2000 M4  I got later from LMT WEBSITE
I added the ARMS 40Lsp

The BUIS didnt need any adjustments.
But the Front Post needed to be raised up alot.
The ears still are above the post so I dont bitch

Hopefuly this ISN'T the case, but the reciever face may not be square to the bore. I would say that is the least likely case, but possible.

God I think ive built probably double that number and rebuilt many.I never thought about the receiver face but it did go in real snug the extension into the upper.
