I have a DPMS A3 that I want to put a scope on. I know that the scope will see past the front sight post but does it affect its accuracy? I would think being the front sight post is tech. in the way it should effect it some how. Will the scope hit POA?

Thanks,

I had a 6.8 with a scope mounted low and the std front sight GB.  you can notice a bit of a shadow in the scope, but it will not affect your accuracy. killed several deer with it like that, including one at 200 yards.

in fact, when hunting bear, I was in a ghillie and it was in a rifle rag with a camo screen draped over the scope. you'll see right through it.

If you mount a scope, the front sight will blur out at the bottom of the reticle. At higher magnifications (such as 9x) the front sight post is not visible.

Accuracy should not be affected. Take a look at the link below. Guy has a pic at 3x and 9x.

May be annoying on low power. Wont see it at higher magnification. will not affect accuracey at all.

Thanks guy's! I was thinking of buying a new upper but if the one I have will work I guess I will spend the money on ammo.

Thanks again
