Okay, I have a bushy h-bar with the picitanny gasblock, it came that way. I WANT to put a standard A2 gasblock/sight on it. Bushy says I have to send the upper in to have this done. Is there another way to do this preferably without paying an arm and a leg bofore I get the gun back?

I just talked to bushy on the phone two days ago about a milled base. It seems the bbl and sight base are custom drilled toghter(for the taper pins) and are a match pair. I would buy a removable site for your rail or pay bushy to do it right.

I would just buy a front sight housing and parts from DPMS. They come undrilled for pins, because when you fit the housing the GI way, you have to position the front sight and then drill and ream for taper pins, then set the pins...

Me (and most everybody in High Power) puts a set screw (or two or four) and then adjusts by centering the rear sight and shooting, moving the sight housing to get things close to centered, then glue it to the barrel with Loctite. A few minutes with a heat gun, and it will come off.

One set screw method is up from bottom, loosen, tweak, tighten, shoot again... Two set screws is to drill and tap the housing where one of the pins would go and cut little matching flats on the barrel, then adjust the opposing screws while you shoot and adjust. Four screws is the same as two, but some people like the security. I like Loctite for security. Tippie Competition is supposed to have a clamp type sight.
