I just got my AR zeroed and noticed my flip up Troy rear sight is adjusted almost all the way to the right. I contacted the company and they have no problem taking it back and fixing it. I was wondering if anyone else thinks its too far over too, or this type of thing is normal. Just trying to decide if its worth sending back, the company is paying for shipping so no cost there.

No opions? Wondering if I should even attempt to turn the barrel myself to correct?

The pics are a little blurry (but I can see your blankey), so I am asking does the BUIS sit level or even on the picattiny rail? Also, do you have a carry handle or another sight to try?

Your aperture is too far right. Unacceptable.

It is possible to mount BUIS unevenly on the rail. Re-mount it again to be certain.
As locke12 says, you should try another sight to verify that your front sight is not canted.

Front sight cant is very common, especially with the top tier guns for some reason.
BCM claims that 20 clicks either way is within specs. Good reason to avoid their uppers.

Troy BUIS is excellent sight and rear aperture centers 100% in the middle.
It is possible that your Troy may be out of spec.
I had a similar case with GG&G spring actuated sight that would be way off (17 clicks) to one side on a perfectly un-canted rifle.
GG&G replaced it, even though I did not buy it directly from them.
The replacement centers perfectly, just as Troys do.

Thanks, I did get the upper and troy sight from CMMG and they offered to fix and even sent a return tag. Just don't want to whine about something that might be acceptable. They been great with me on this so I'm not at all bashing anyone as this is my first AR. I think I'll return it let them work it out, if I was abit more knowledgable about theses guns problably would of done it myself. Thanks everyone for your input.
