hello everyone, I am in the process of changing my upper from a A2 to a flat top. I bought a carry handle that was advertised as a Colt. I have a 16" Bushmaster M-4 barrel. The marking on the rear right side of the carry handle has a keyhole with the number "9" to the right. Can anyone tell me if this is in fact a Colt handle. I looked at the post that has all the Colt forge marks but I don't see one that has both markings. If so I need to know if I have to get the taller front sight since I will have the bushy barrel and colt carry handle that I have read about here. Thanks

regardless of what carry handle you use you will not know if you actually need the taller front sight post until you sight/shoot it.

i have a few bushmaster uppers/rifles and some needed it and some didnt

The carry handle was made my Cerro Forge. It could have been made for Colt any of several other rifle manufacturers.
