Anyone, I am  planning to purchase a complete Fulton Arms .308 upper (FAR Phantom -.308 Lite).   18.5", chrome lined,1X10 twist.   Dont have the patience to put it together, nor the fixture, or the experience.   but was wondering what is the quality of their products?  Can someone give me an evaluation?
Thank you very much for a response.

Everything I've seen from them has been top-notch.  I would confidently say that they are a major step up from DPMS, even on a bad day.  A lot of the .308 parts are common, but there appears to be more attention to detail with Fulton, and quality barrels.

I've had a varmint/predator in 5.56 for 7 years. It's a great rifle and is very accurate. I don't know what the parts are I think they use a lot of DPMS but the action is really smooth. They didn't just snap this gun together.

I've always heard nothing but good things about them. I've talked to them on the phone & they seem good to deal with, no BS or anything like that. I've also heard they make accurate barrels especially for the price.

I got one of their FAR 308 I can't recommend it enough, If I knew a simpler way of posting I would show it.

Now that's downright funny. The Fulton Armory FAR-308s are rebadged DPMS.

I've ordered lower receiver parts directly from DPMS and the same parts from Fulton Armory. The ones from Fulton had better fit and finish.

I ordered all of my parts from them (except my lower, went with a CMMG that I came across at a gunshow for that one) and love it.   Be aware, if you buy the FA *lite forearm, its still heavy as hell!

I have the 18.5" chrome lined barrel in my MATEN, very happy with it.  An 18.5", light-weight profile, chrome lined, with rifle length gas system, what more could you ask for.....

The fact is that DPMS gets a lot of their parts from outside sources.  I suspect Fulton uses the same source for some of the receivers, but gets them run for them with their company logo and registered serial number range.

Fulton definitely uses higher quality barrels, namely Criterion.  I'll take a Criterion (Krieger button rifled pipe) over a rack ER Shaw barrel any day of the week.  They also seem to take pride in the build quality of their rifles and uppers.

It's the difference between mass-produced and smaller volume builders, with a leaning towards service rifle competition.  Every DPMS LR308 or 260 I've purchased has needed to be tweaked to get reliable functioning out of, which is why I never buy off-the-shelf anymore.

The Fulton rifles I've seen and handled have been superb specimens of attention-to-detail, trigger work, and accuracy.
