I recieved my dissipator upper from Fulton the other day, it is excellent but the front sight has four tiny allen screws holding the sight on instead of pins. Has anybody ever seen this before? Will the stay in like the pins? Does anybody have this on their rifle? Any info would be helpfull.

The attachment method you describe is commonly used in building iron-sighted match rifles, as it allows the front sight block to be mechanically zeroed by adjusting the setscrews.  IMO, it is NOT what you want for a *weapon*, though, as the screws can get loose and/or the sight can get knocked and cause the screws to score the barrel and allow the FSB to rotate.  Solid taper pins are far, far stronger (which is why they are used on *weapon* ARs), but require a fixture to install and make it more difficult to take apart the barrel assembly.

I would prefer a clamp-on style FSB (such as the Armalite fixed or the PRI flip-up) over the setscrew type if this is going to be a weapon.  The clamp-on style is stronger than set-screws (but less than taper pins), but are easier to work on than either of the other two.

Once your rifle is zero'd for windage get some wicking grade loctite (Green).  It should have been included with the upper.

ps. torque capacity for loctite 290 is 85 in/lbs break and 250 in/lbs prevail.  you should be pretty confident using your rifle for whatever you would want to.

Can I just have the front sight replaced with a standard one?

Kurt at KKF could do that, and probably a few other AR smiths, but as I said, a fixture is required to ensure proper alignment, so not just anyone can.
