Hey Guys, I ordered a 16 inch liberator upper from Clint over at Fulton Armory. He was pleasant to work with and full of knowledge, by the way. Just wondering, has anyone here ever owned or fiddled around with a rifle or upper from Fulton? I'm looking for everyone's opinions on the good, bad, and ugly on their barrels, bolts, receivers, gas tubes, etc. Also, any experiences with their "hybrid" .223/.5.56 chamber, as far as chambering, extraction, or accuracy/reliability? I haven't heard too much about their uppers, but what I have heard is good. Please share your 2 cents, thanks... |

I had a Liberator upper for about a year. Never ran mil-spec ammo through it, just Winchester White Box. It functioned fine and was accurate. I ended up replacing the bbl with a FN USGI 20" because I wanted a longer bbl and wanted it to be chrome lined. I guess that would be only complaint about their uppers. They only offer (1) chrome lined bbl and it's a 20" with a 1/12 twist. But this may not matter to you. |
| MPGUNNER, I have had several rifles and uppers from Fulton. My first was a 16" A2 type. I decided that I needed a longer barrel for hunting, so I got a 20" Phantom flattop. Both uppers function flawlessly and the fit and finish are perfect. I've shot both SA military ammo and Federal Premium and Winchester Supreme in mine. Both uppers will shoot less than MOA out to 200 yds. with my 4X ACOG. I am very pleased with the guys at Fulton. Good luck |
