Went to the local fun show today and did some window shopping. I passed by a table with a crowd aw struck by this miracle weapon. According to the sales guy, 10,000 rounds with no cleaning, NO lube....period. Best on the market, yayda, yayda...This model is MP168SPC with a $3200. price. I usually don't start BS, but hey, I'm not making these claims. I step up,ask a few questions, and call BS on the guy. Look up the specs and see. I call GTG on what is, and... you know, on the rest. Miracle coat=no lube, I say run em wet. According to him, that is my opinion. 10,000 rounds with no clean, OK, I'll give you that (I'm at 2000 +- on one of mine for test) but, with lube. For the most part, this guy just wanted me to leave. At the end, He could not justify his claims, and admitted to his "pitch" was based on what "he was told". I do not feel bad that he lost a sell because of my questions.( There was a guy counting out dough when my discussion started, He walked away when I did, and said Thank you very much.) Maybe this ar was worth it and I FUBAR'd the sale? What do you say? I did direct the thank you guy to a used Bushy for 739., and he bought a case of ammo for it. All around, Fudd guy got ar, big smile, and was happy. We might get a new member in a few days.

Got a buddy that just sent me an email asking about Next Generation Arms - and this same rifle.  Looks / sounds a little like POF or POS depending on your experience...(mine was POS at first)

Anyone got any intel on NGA???

I don't know about 10,000 but I am at 1,200 or so. I am very impressed with NGA. I took everything that they said with a grain of salt when I looked at buying mine early last year. The ceramics work, they make it the easiest cleaning AR I have ever used, between the compensator and the hydraulic buffer it has the least amount of barrel rise and is the quickest for me to fire follow-on shots and I have yet to have any failures except one. My only complaint is that the gas key was not well staked and I had issues with it coming loose. Other than that I have had no failures or issues and I am currently at about 3,700 rounds.

With all of that said I would have a hard time with the price that they are asking for their new MP168. Mine was rather basic and I paid $1500 which was back when it was nearly impossible to find any ARs and that was the asking price for a 6920. For that price it was a good deal but they don't make that any more and have gone high end, too high end if you ask me.
