KAC SR15 Mod 2 Carbine with a 5.56 QDC/CRS-PRT I might swap the CRS for the MCQ once it's out of jail. She's longer than most SBRs, but still an SBR. NODs should arrive this week, which means I will need to add a LAM, probably the IRIS-3.

I know the idea is you get a CD size group out to 300, but does the combo of carry handle height and shorter barrel make more sense with a 36? Is your in close holdover less exaggerated than the 50? |

While I'm not saying there is never a need for a laser, I don't really use them. |

 Failed To Load Title The AW15 has a lot going for it. Really impressed so far, 16” Chrome lined barrel and seems to be pretty accurate. This may be the ticket after I get some more rounds through it. Attached File |

I love the idea of a short 300blk as a do all kind of setup(0-150yrd) but found that if really tuned for subs, was way over gassed on supers, or tuned for supers, was way under gassed for subs. I don’t necessarily agree with mandatory 77gr, test firing every month with new batteries, and first round hits at 500. I think whatever ammo you can stack deep and what shoots well out of your gun is more important. I think 3 hits in a row at 300 is more realistic over first round at 500. |

Only changes I might make would be muzzle device to add a can at some point. |

I don't worry too much about subsonic rounds since it is my go-to rifle; It's zeroed for and loaded with Barnes 110 gr. black tips. It doesn't have an adjustable gas block and the LWRCi buffer cycles fine although it's a bit snappy. I can't afford to shoot it as much as I'd like, but when I do plink I use subs. I've never had an issue with it. Just needs lots of oil with the KAC chrome bolt. I've probably put 500-600 assorted rounds through it without a hiccup.
