What is the cheapest most durable way to go about mounting a light if you have standard carbine Handguards?  I have a Stag Model 2.  I want to stay under $150.  I have had suggestions to go with an Ergo rail to mount on underside of handguard then attach and I've also seen some good looking barrell (MI) and front sight attachments (Elzetta).  I just want the most durable GTG system (handguard, front sight or barrel) for my AR.  Thanks in advance guys.

Any of the options you listed should work well for you.

The Elzetta ZFH1500 is a very cost effective means of mounting a light (MSRP = $29.95 with nothing else to buy except the Light itself).  As for durability, we have had done extensive testing and have thousands of units in the field with outstanding results.

An Elzetta ZFH1500 with a 235-Lumen Elzetta ZFL-M60 Weapon Light retails for $179.90 but with the discounts some of our Dealers offer, you should be able to get this set-up within your $150 budget.  This system is pictured below (OD Green ZFH1500 Thumb Screw Model shown).

I have a Midwest Industries front sight mount.  It is very sturdy and mounts easily.  I'm sure the Elzetta stuff is quality as well, one of these days I will try them out.

You could get our new drop in quad rail and Ultimate Weapon light and still be under $150
