I can't decide if I like the glass that high. Muscle memory puts me down low.
Anyone got lower rings? |

Ended up ordering another Colt upper. Couldn't break up the Block 1. Dates match up too well and the M4 RAS is dated on my birthday. I know that's not very cash money of me, but I gotta have something to throw an ACOG on when I stumble across a good deal.

Am I having a brain fart, or does no one make a carbine gas-length match/ss barrel?

This thread makes me want to reevaluate the Colt A4 on the left.
I’m not buying anymore cans, so no AEM5, but I’ve always wanted something MK12ish. I’m not strict with my clones. With a FF RAS and Suppressor, what barrel should I go with? The right is my SHTF rifle. 14.5 DD pencil barrel, built this prior to the URGI release. Attached File |

It's not in the front of the line as projects go, but I think it will be nice when it's finito. |

This is an 18" Ops-profile Balistic Advantage Barrel (when you order your barrel, an option is for BA to pin on a FSP) Attached File |

Damn I guess I didn't think it through just how long that collar would have to be on a 20". Guess it'll just get the FF RAS treatment. Not really worth it to me to send the barrel off for profiling. Heck that might even kill the motivation to mess with it and just leave it as an A4. Don't have a use for the M5 RAS otherwise.

View Quote If you just get the 18" BA barrel, it's already profiled correctly, and they will put an FSP on it. You could leave everything else as-is, and basically have an A4 with a giant-ass can hanging off the front |

I do have a spare Umbrella Corporation upper from their last run of Blown Deadline fde uppers. And I guess I would have a spare handguard. Maybe it'll happen one day. Just got tracking this AM on my Colt upper so the MRE is complete when that comes in. |
