Pics of my mre build are going up tomorrow, just need to mount the short dot. Can’t wait to join the #mre gang

Where are all the in the wild MRE pics?!
And I love how much stuff gets passed around in or because of this thread. We need our own EE section. |

@CMCctx
I second our own EE section. Best thread here for sure. |

I don't think I'm clone enough to play in the A4 thread, so I'm posting this here. Still waiting on an M5 RAS that was supposed to be here Friday. USPS stopped updating the tracking info and now it just says arriving late. Fuckers Also have a bayonet on the way, and already have a TA31RCO. Trying to decide how it would look with a gangster grip. I like this rifle way more than I thought it would, there's something super badass about the 20" barrel and fixed stock. It feels so solid.

Originally Posted By SDMF_Rebel: Is that my handy work under that handguard collar? View Quote Sure is! The original collar is awesome work, but it was married to this upper since there was one gas tube hole. Now there is a little more freedom. It'll stay on this upper, but it bugged me that the option wasn't there. |

Don't go ruinin' stuff that don't need ruinin'. I just need the collar forward a little bit. I still have flash hider mounts that have tons of thread, so I'm more than good on turns even if the collar comes forward. Ron is so far behind I don't even want to pest him. |

It's an even better idea if I add another set screw and go up a size. The flash hider mounts have a lot more thread than the brakes, which makes goofy shit like this work. |

I wanted to be a part of the cool kids club so here’s my rifle that might be closest to GWOT (at least on the American side of things). Tell me what I can change to score more points.

Is there anything MRE or similar that works with a mid length fsb?

Looks like they make a mid length RAS. But damn, I don’t think my wallet is ready for that KAC lifestyle

Originally Posted By Soberglitch: Is there anything MRE or similar that works with a mid length fsb? Sometimes difficult when these dudes present a good opportunity and wreck your pre-existing plans! But that's why this is the best thread on arfcom. |

I’ll keep an eye out but I’ll just run with my Troy 2 piece for now. Might even slap the M4 handguards back on there. It’s my least shot rifle I own by far so I’ll just keep dumping money into my OGS clone.

The new MRE was lots of fun this morning.
Blows me away just how good that dirt cheap weaver scope is. My brother welded the flash hider on this morning. |

@SDMF_Rebel can you measure the threads on your FH? I'm curious how it compares to the Vortex OPS INC compatible FH. From the rear to the front of the threaded surface.

Where can I find a flat delta ring? I already molested my OGS with a KAC RIS, and I'm not sad about it one bit. But I do want to swap the delta ring out.
