[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Gas Block/folding Front Sight options

I know about YHM and PRI for about $100 more. Are there any other options out there that are quality without breaking the bank?

Is the YHM a quality sight/gasblock or would I be better off dropping the extra $$ on something else. This is going to be mostly for backup as I will probably run a scope or other optics.

I put the YHM on my 11.5" and havn't had any problems. Don't have many rounds through it tho. I did put red lock tight on the screws and on the bottom hlaf of the block for insurance.

the kac is nice as well ...hard to find though. The vltor unit was designed and refined by the exact same gentleman. So if i had to do it over again id go vltor.
