I've been have some issues with my newly built ar15.
I threw on a low profile Daniel Defense gas block and I can't get my ar to load the next round after firing the first. I can cycle through rounds perfectly with my stock fsb, but for some odd reason the low profile gas block just wont cooperate.The weapon still fires and extracts the empty round, but will not load the next round. I don't believe it to be the magazine because it loads perfectly with the stock fsb, and it isn't the ammunition as I've run 2 separate brands through it. Any help is much appreciated, and for the record I am a semi-noob at rifle building. Thanks in advance, Lee |

Pull the gas block and check out the burn ring around the barrel gas block.
If the ring is centered around the barrel gas port openning, then the block has been installed correctly. If not, then you will need to correct the gas block so it' installed correct to the barrel gas port. Also, with the new gas block, have you confirmed that the gas tube is still aligned with the carrier key as well? |
