[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Gas Block lasers

Does anyone make a quality Gas block laser no bigger then the LaserMax Uni but fits on top of a Gas block which is not too tall to obstructs optics?

I saw a cheap version which was a front sight with a laser but i don't care for front sight and the laser was cheap.

Would you be opposed to mounting a laser directly to your barrel? There are lots of cheap products that will let you do that.

For the sake of keeping everything light and streamline i would like to use the free space on top of the gas block for the laser. I have seen quite a lot of different units that mount to the front hand guard and they are really big.

If there is a unit which is compact and mounts directly to the barrel and will not burn up can you please post a link

Magpul says not to mount their plastic sights to a gas block, I wouldn't mount a plastic laser to one.

I have a sightmark laser mounted on my gasblock, and it dont get in the scopes way that i can see.
