Can someone point me to a thread that explains this? I know I've seen this before, but I can't seem to find it. What is it? How to tell if it's done properly? How to fix it if it's not? |
Thanks. Would it be a bad idea to tack weld it and grind the excess? How about putting some flux in the gap and dripping some silver solder down there? It would be much prettier. |
Doesn't need to be pretty, just needs to work. Mil-spec is to be staked as you see above, you are welcome to deviate from that, just know that staking works and welding/soldering/grinding may not.
